Only 15 minutes away from our shop, lies the beautiful Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary. Crystal clear waters, sandstone reefs, sea caves, and rockpools make Ricketts Point the perfect place to discover. Explore the rock pools: near the shore, the rocks are covered in red, green and brown algae that shelter small marine creatures, including tiny brittle stars, snails and small crustaceans such as sandhoppers and crabs. Many seabirds gather to roost on the rocks at low tide or to scavenge along the shoreline, including Melbourne’s famous black swans. Or BYO snorkel to meet zebrafish or even a Port Jackson Shark.

A perfect destination if you are renting a bike for an hour. Only 10 minutes away from our Sandy shop, you find Half Moon Bay. Get fish & chips from The Cerberus Beach House, a local's favourite. While you are enjoying your lunch, gaze out over the ocean with boats gently bobbing on the shimmering water, take in the views of the cliffs or watch the kids jumping of the pier. Half Moon Bay has a relaxing vibe, although when the weather is warmer it's vibrant at the same time.
